Orangist/Pianist
Erik Boehmke grew up along the Rock River in Prophetstown, Illinois. Coming from a music family, he was able to learn from some great teachers in Sterling, Morrison, and Augustana College where he received his Bachelors degree in music performance. After graduating Augustana with honors, Erik decided to take his love of music to learn more and focus on orchestral studies and performance at Baylor University in Waco, TX. At Baylor, Erik studied with Kurt Kaiser, Randall Bradley and Stephen Heyde. Graduating with highest honors he began teaching studio piano, trumpet, and also began teaching at smaller junior colleges.
Erik has a 3 year old husky named Beau of whom he spends a great deal of time with along with being into fitness, nature, and humanitarian work when time permits.
He is also a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association's Overture Council which is a non-profit focusing on programs which support education and music in Chicago.
